Authors conducted a study of environmental hygienic survey on 5 radar sites of ROKAF during a period from 28 may to 23 June 1858, as a part of improvement project of environment in Rader Sites.
The following results were obtained.
(1) As to the environmental conditions, room temperature, humidity, discomfort index, quantities of CO2, CO end S02 gases intensity of illumination of the radar operation room were measured as normal.
(2) A survey of noise level in the various electric generator of ROKAF Radar Sites. It is considered that certain measures are necessitated for the possible noise hazards of the workers. And further research would be required.
(3) A study of the blood picture of 67 normal subjects living at. higher altitude above 4,000ft sea level was made and proven as normal.
The average values of red blood cell, hemoglobin and hematocrit tend to be increased in the individuals living at this area when comprated to those of normal individuals at ground level. The specific gravity of the blood was also increased in the higher altitude group.
(4) There was a significant correlation (R=0.796; P< (0.001) between asthenopia
and neuro-sensory fatigue.
